Everyone on Abide is a fellow traveler, not a clinician. The help you receive is prayer, Scripture, encouragement, and the ordinary faithfulness of people who keep showing up for you.

Abide is not professional counseling, therapy, medical advice, or emergency care.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please use the resources on our Safety & Support page or contact local emergency services. Peers cannot provide crisis response.

You pick a display name. Your legal name is never required or displayed, which makes it easier to be honest about doubt, depression, addiction, or a marriage that's struggling.

Every post and comment can be reported with a reason. Moderators can hide content, lock threads, issue warnings, and suspend accounts. You can block or mute anyone, and mute a thread you'd rather not follow.

Our Community Guidelines describe what's welcome — and what isn't, including proselytizing at people in pain, spiritual abuse, diagnosis, and spam.

There are no downvotes and no public follower counts. The community exists to lift, not to rank.
