Delete Your Account

You're always in control of your data. Here's how to remove individual content, or delete your account entirely.

Delete your whole account (in-app)

1. Sign in and open You (your profile page)
2. Scroll to Delete account
3. Type DELETE to confirm

What gets deleted

Your account, pseudonym, and personal content (journal entries, prayer requests, posts, replies, vents, friendships, group memberships, progress and garden state, Bible notes and highlights, and settings) are removed from the app immediately.

What's retained, and for how long

• Deleted content is purged from backups within 30 days.
• Anonymized, aggregate data (e.g. overall usage statistics that can't be tied back to you) may be retained.
• Moderation records may be kept longer where needed for safety and accountability.

Deleting individual content instead

You don't need to delete your whole account to remove a single post or journal entry — open the item and use its delete option. This removes it immediately and follows the same 30-day backup purge above.

Can't access the app?

If you can't sign in to delete your account yourself, email privacy@abideinthelord.life from the address on your account and we'll take care of it.
